Silversun PickupsIf there are two things in this world that I like for sure, it�s liquor stores and indie rock. And here we have a band that has both those things combined. Well, maybe the Silversun Pickups aren�t a liquor store, but they�re named after one. And brother, do they play indie rock. I read somewhere that the music they play would make Kevin Shields wet his pants, I can see that. Gross. Anyways, good bands deserve the annoyance of my questionnaire...

Name: Brian Nolan Kalei'ali'i Aubert, Nikki Monninger, Joe Lester, and Christopher Guanlao.

Your defining feature/quirk?

Brian: My amazing addiction to the soothing effects of white noise. I'll knock out near the dishwasher, go numb by a powerful fan, and practically go comatose walking by a fountain of some sort.

Nikki: Klutz.

Joe: Flawless wit / Short-ish legs.

Christopher: My knack for putting ketchup on most things that i eat.

Your recent work of genius?

Brian: Dating a woman who's an unbelievable chef. Seriously. You have no idea.

Nikki: Hmmm...

Joe: Quitting my job with very little savings and no prospect of future work.

Christopher: Spelled out �QUIZ� on a triple word score in Scrabble.

Inspirations/Muses?

Brian: It would seem that i am particularly inspired in bathrooms. Every time i'm at a bar or club or blah blah... and nature shows her pretty little face, i stroll on in and i start getting all these ditties in my head. I believe all of Pikul was conceived in toilets. What are you gonna do. So toilets are my muses. Oh shit.... record title... toilet muses... done and done. Copyrighted by the SSPU savings and loans. Brian: I think it might be The Beginning And The End by Naguib Mahfouz. To be honest, i don't know why. I just love it. Either that or Garfield 9: Loses His Feet bcuz it's just so dang funny. Oh Nermal... he he...

Nikki: The Fountainhead. Because it�s awesome.

Joe: The Crying of Lot 49 .  Thomas Pynchon is my favo(u)rite reclusive genius.

Christopher: Short stories of the Glass Family by JD Salinger .  I love the time period, location and characters.  I recommend reading them in this order- Franny & Zooey , Raise High the Roofbeams & Seymour : An Introduction and Nine Stories .
