TOP RECORDS OF 2007
Diana Panton – if the moon turns green… - (Independent / IODA)
Once again vocalist Diana Panton is joined by guitarist Reg Schwager and bassist/pianist Don Thompson. More great stuff in the vein on her 2005 release ...yesterday perhaps. The album features a great selection of tunes, many with a lunar theme.

Susie Arioli Band featuring Jordan Office – Live at the Montreal International Jazz Festival – (Justin Time Records)
Recorded at the 2006 Festival, this is a two disc release (a CD plus a DVD) featuring numbers from the band’s previous four releases, along with two tracks the band hadn’t yet recorded for commercial release: “Evening” (on the CD) and“Le Béguine” (on the DVD). On the stage or in the studio, the band delivers a highly enjoyable set. DVD extras include a quick guitar tutorial by Jordan Officer, a real treat for those of you who are aspiring jazz guitarists.
