!earshot charts - top 20 folk/roots/blues of 2015

1 The Weather Station Can Con
Loyalty- (Paradise Of Bachelors)
http://the-weather-station.com/

The Weather Station is a project of Toronto-based songwriter Tamara Lindeman. Lindeman had a huge year in 2015 - she signed with North Carolina-based indie label Paradise of Bachelors, then recorded her third studio album, Loyalty, at La Frette-sur-Seine, a 19th century mansion just outside of Paris, France, with Bahamas' Afie Jurvanen and engineer Robbie Lackritz (Bahamas, Feist). Lindeman and Jurvanen played most of the instruments on the album, but were joined by Anthony Wallace (strings) and Jeremy Strachan (woodwinds and horns). All year Weather Station toured Canada and the United States, first with the the Great Lake Swimmers, and then as a headliner with her full band. Loyalty was released in May and is getting rave reviews all around, including mentions in Rolling Stone’s “10 New Artists You Need to Know”, and Uncut Magazine’s “best of 2015” list.
