Both Michelle and Vish are actively involved in the music community in Guelph. Vish is a musician, a music writer and is the Music Programming Coordinator at CFRU. Michelle, meanwhile is current President of the Guelph Jazz Festival. Starting a radio show allowed them to share their love of music with each other and their listeners. “We generally play any music we feel like with an A lot of effort goes into The Mich Vish Interracial Morning Show. Each week they have a feature artist interview or profile and provide comprehensive events listings for Guelph and Kitchener-Waterloo. They have talked to an impressive and eclectic array of Canadian and international artists since the show started in 2005. Just a brief sampling of some of their guests includes Ian MacKaye, Steve Albini, Arcade Fire, Joel Plaskett, Ron Sexsmith, Patti Smith, Wooden Stars, Sarah Harmer, Gentleman Reg and on and on. “We love entertaining people and hopefully informing them about popular cultural phenomena,” says Vish.
