Record Store Day - 2012

Community Radio is celebrating Record Store Day in a big way

Who doesn't like records and record stores? A great record store isn't just a shop. It is a community. Record Store Day was started to keep those shops and those communities alive.

Saturday, April 21 is Record Store Day across North America. Stores, artists and libels are celebrating with in-store performances, special RSD releases, special deals and more. Campus Stations from Halifax to Victoria are celebrating too with special programs, special events and live broadcasts.

Check out some of these events listed below. All stations have live streams so you can listen in from anywhere and in many cases you can listen to podcasts or downloadable content if you miss it live. Campus-radio-types love records almost as much as the people running record stores. No wonder they are excited!
