This Habit
This Habit
As they put it, Code Pie was born during a relentlessly bored (read: sexually frustrated) winter in someone's basement. As far as debut releases go, This Habit is better than most people's anticipated sophomore efforts. Fitting in snugly with Canada 's sonically beautiful scene - already home to Broken Social Scene , Stars , and Arcade Fire , to name but a few Code Pie is sure to become the next name drop band at hipster functions.

Name: Code Pie

Your defining feature/quirk?

A distinct lack of defining features; at least none we feel comfortable sharing in public.

Your recent work of genius?

Seeing our label FLAGLESS records repeatedly listed as FLOGLESS in !Earshots weekly and monthly charts. What kind of a person would want less flogging?

(Bryndis: sorry guys, I guess cause Im the charts editor thats partly my fault, and I say partly because I hate taking full blame for things)

Inspirations/Muses?

St-Viateur bagels, hummus, Beijing restaurant, pizza at Euro Deli, and fries in pepper sauce at La Cabane.

Favourite book and why?

But I don't want to go among mad people, Alice remarked.
Oh, you can't help that, said the Cat: we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.
How do you know I'm mad? said Alice .
You must be,' said the Cat, or you wouldn't have come here.
