The Good Fight are a fairly no-frills hardcore outfit from Minnesota, trading in all that hardcore ought to contain - anger, speed, screams, then a bit more anger. While there is certainly nothing here to invigorate the genre, it does qualify as a solid hardcore punk release. Out of the crashing distortion, bits of shiny guitar sparkle, and there enough dynamics to made the ride more interesting. There is even an innate sense of melody; while it's difficult to be melodic without actual singing, The Good Fight weave it into the chord progressions and guitar parts, without compromising all the anger, speed, screams and anger again. There are a few moments that dip towards metal, too. Be advised up front that not all the material is new as much of Breathing Room was culled from demos, but odds are good you don't own those demos anyway
